One can never get enough of Malec. Here’s a snippet from an upcoming book with a picture by Cassandra Jean!
These pictures were drawn by PhantomRin, a brilliant artist on Tumblr. She does lots of drawings for different series, such as the Cassandra Clare novels, Red Rising by Pierce Brown, The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, and more! I could tell you all I know about her, but she was one step ahead of me in posting a picture about herself, so I’ll let it describe her!
Here are the ship pictures she did for The Shadowhunter Chronicles…
Cassandra Clare is in the process of writing Malec’s first time!! She says she thinks she will release it in the same way she released Not For Humans, where you will pay some money to a charity (she’s thinking an LGBTQ charity for this one) and in return you receive the story! She does not know when she will be able to start sharing the full story as she is not running the project, but she has released a snippet from it:
Alec liked Magnus best like this, when he wasn’t particularly dressed up, when he was just in a t-shirt and his dark silky hair was free of gel or spikes. It wasn’t that he didn’t like Magnus’ clothes, it was that sometimes he felt like Magnus wore them like armor, a layer of protection between him and a world that didn’t always meet someone who burned so brightly and so differently with open arms.
While you wait for the full story, here’s the story of Malec’s first kiss!
I really enjoyed doing The Infernal Devices: Text Connections, so I decided to do one for The Mortal Instruments as well!
Today The Shadowhunter Academy‘s 9th novella, Born to Endless Night has been released! Synopsis: Simon, like the rest of the Academy, is stunned when a navy-skinned warlock baby is found on the Academy steps. They hand the child over to guest lecturer Magnus Bane, who has to bring a child home… temporarily, of course… to his man! What will be Alec’s reaction? Will Malec keep the baby and raise it? Get the book on kindle now! Here’s a drawing by Cassandra Jean of the baby:
I just have a tiny, tiny snippet from Lady Midnight centering Malec love.
Magnus grinned at her, sideways. “Anyway. It was no big deal for me to stop by here on my way to Buenos Aires.”
“What’s in Buenos Aires?” said Julian.
“Alec,” Magnus said.
